 The
Coca-Cola Bottling Company Ltd (TCCBCL) and Airtel Ghana’s attention
has been drawn to some messages in circulation claiming that the two
companies are running a promotion that requires recipients to make
mobile money transfers to a given number to claim their prizes or
rewards.
TCCBCL and Airtel Ghana would like to state that we are not running any promotion of this nature.
Our
investigations indicate that this is a scam intended to dupe
unsuspecting members of the public by some unscrupulous individuals.
We have taken steps to report this matter to the authorities for further investigations.
We
want to encourage the general public to disregard messages in this or
other forms requiring them to make payments to redeem prizes or rewards.
All
promotions run by both companies are duly communicated to the general
public through official company channels and through the media.
