A hungry nurse is a potential killer, that is a message on one of the placards wielded by some unemployed nurses who hit the streets of Accra Wednesday morning.
Over two thousand graduate nurses and midwives are protesting the delay by the Health Ministry in posting them.
Some say they have been unemployed since August last year.
The nurses and midwives say several assurances by the Ministry of Health to get them posted have not materialized.
Clad in their uniforms and red bands, they converged at Circle, Wednesday morning for a morning devotion- asking God to touch the hearts of authorities to post them as soon as possible – before the demonstration.
