A Former Chief Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), Damoah Agyemang, has accused Mrs Charlotte Osei and her team of spending the Commission’s money recklessly.
Speaking on Atinka FM’s political show “Simpieso” Tuesday, the former director said Madam Osei and her team are not focused on conducting credible election but are only interested in splashing the Commission’s cash recklessly on unnecessary things like rebranding , which will not help the Commission in anyway .
Mr. Damoah told host Obidihyie Kwaku Attiemo that the EC should have a credible elections as its prime concern and not reckless spending that will add no value to the elections.
The former Chief Director also slammed the Commission for late start of the Voter exhibition exercise, saying it should have been done some months ago to allow time for the various political parties to properly scrutinize the provisional voters’ registers to address their concerns..
He also expressed fears that party officers may not have adequate time to examine the register for possible errors ahead of the elections due to the late start of the exercise.
