ELECTION 2016 - PARLIAMENTARY BALLOT: GCPP, PPP, NDC Takes 1, 2 and 3 Position


The Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) will be first on the ballot paper during the December 7 parliamentary elections.

They will be followed by the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).




EC scheduled the time at 8am on the 20th of Oct, the balloting delayed to 9am. at the time of balloting PNC and CPP were not present to take part.


At a constituencies where there is an independent candidate will be at the bottom of the ballot.

The Electoral Commission on Thursday invited the various political parties to ballot for their spots on the parliamentary ballot paper Election 2016.

The balloting took place at the Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) conference hall at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Accra.

In all, seven (7) political parties took part in the balloting.

Below is how the political parties will appear on the ballot paper:

1. Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP)

2. Progressive People’s Party (PPP)

3. National Democratic Congress (NDC)

4. United Progressive Party (UPP)

5. New Patriotic Party (NPP)

6. National Democratic Party (NDP)

7. Independent People's Party (IPP)
